Remember when Richmond college life meant long lines, crowded bars, cheap beer, loud music, questionable decisions.... and friendships that lasted a lifetime?

There was a time when a weekend in Richmond, Kentucky, had its own rhythm. EKU students poured into the local bars, familiar faces packed the dance floors, bands played until closing time, and everybody seemed to have a favorite place where the night began.... or occasionally where they realized the next morning that it probably should have ended.

From The Dog and Sutter's Mill to T-Bombs, Phone 3 Lounge, O'Riley's Pub and dozens of other legendary Richmond watering holes, these weren't simply places to grab a beer. They were gathering places for generations of students, locals, musicians, bartenders, characters and friends.

Some lasted decades. Others disappeared almost as quickly as they arrived. Buildings changed. Signs came down. New businesses moved in.

But Richmond remembers.
